Role Overview
We are looking for a Drone Systems Integrator who can take individual UAV subsystems and convert them into a reliable, flight-ready platform.
The role involves end-to-end integration of flight controllers, propulsion systems, RF/video links, payloads, sensors, power systems, embedded electronics and onboard computing, followed by systematic testing, troubleshooting and validation.
The ideal candidate should be highly hands-on and comfortable working directly with drones—from bench-level electronics integration to flight testing and field deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate complete UAV systems including flight controller, ESCs, motors, power distribution, GPS/GNSS, telemetry, RF systems, cameras, sensors and payloads.
- Configure and tune flight controllers using ArduPilot, PX4, Betaflight or similar platforms.
- Perform electrical, mechanical and communication-interface integration across UAV subsystems.
- Integrate digital/analog video transmission, telemetry, command-and-control and long-range RF systems.
- Integrate payloads such as EO/IR cameras, gimbals, sensors and mission-specific equipment.
- Conduct bench testing, ground testing, flight testing and system-level validation.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to power, communication, firmware, RF interference, vibration, telemetry and flight performance.
- Work with Embedded, Autonomy, Hardware, Mechanical and Flight-Test teams during product development.
- Validate component compatibility before freezing system configurations and BOMs.
- Develop wiring architecture, connection diagrams, integration documentation and test procedures.
- Perform root-cause analysis of failures and implement corrective actions.
- Support prototype development and transition of validated systems into production.
- Support field trials, customer demonstrations and troubleshooting when required.
- Ensure systems meet reliability, safety and operational performance requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong practical understanding of multirotor and FPV drone architecture.
- Experience with UAV flight controllers and autopilot systems.
- Understanding of BLDC motors, ESCs, batteries, BECs, power distribution and propulsion systems.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, CAN, I2C, SPI, MAVLink and PWM.
- Experience with RF systems, telemetry, RC links and video transmission systems.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, datasheets and technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, connectors, multimeters, oscilloscopes and other electronics tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and system-debugging capabilities.
- Understanding of EMI/EMC, vibration, thermal management and power-budget considerations is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience integrating FPV, surveillance, tactical or defence UAV systems.
- Experience with ArduPilot / PX4 / Betaflight / INAV.
- Exposure to GPS-denied navigation, companion computers, NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi or embedded Linux systems.
- Knowledge of long-range RF, mesh communication or EW-resistant UAV architectures.
- Experience with environmental, endurance, payload and field testing of UAVs.
